Renovation of Production Lab

Starting May 1st, the Mednick Film Production Lab in NSC 172 will be closed for renovation. Due to construction and space improvements, access to the Color Correction Suite | NSC 172A and the Sound Recording Suite | NSC 172B will be restricted during the week of May 6th – May 12th. The Film Production Lab is scheduled to reopen as the Mednick Advanced Media Lab in late June July.

The renovation and upgrades are funded by a 2017-2018 Technology Fee award and will include improvements to the space’s sound paneling, furniture, and overhead lighting as well provide for ten new Apple 27″ iMac Pro 5K Retina with LG 27″ UltraFine 10-bit / P3 secondary displays and critical software updates.

The project also includes an update to the media server that supports this lab space, the adjouning editorial suites, and dedicated program classrooms.
